Biles was raised at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. Biles and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone started to develop an interest in gymnastics when she was when she was six years old during a school field trip to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach for the next eleven years. Biles has won gold and bronze medals at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 on the floor and vault before her debut in 2011 with the elite category of gymnastics competition. She dominated her sport within a mere two years. What stood Biles out was her consistency her flamboyant attitude as well as the level of difficulty she incorporated into her routines throughout every event - vault, uneven bars balance beam and floor exercises.
