Niykee has experienced a whirlwind few years including being chosen by Snoop to sing with Snoop at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule even though she has been a bit busy. Songwriting is a source of inspiration for aspiring producers. Niykee is always listening to beats and discovers many songs that inspire her. In just 5 seconds that I can determine whether a beat is worthy of my time. Then I can get an idea of a whole song inside my head and start to write. The words come to me whenever I'm outside on the patio, playing my guitar. It usually takes less than thirty minutes. As she continues develop as a musician, Niykee says that her pain from the experiences in the past is a constant source of unlikely inspiration. When I'm not writing directly about events that have happened to me all the pain of my childhood and the loss of my sister end in being integrated into my lyrics, she says. The loss of my sister, and the memories of my childhood shapes the songs that I compose. It's important to me to find a deeper significance to all I perform.
